A bush walking delight! Rugged peaks, expansive views and an ever changing landscape await all keen walkers along Victoria’s Grampians Peaks Trail. This fully supported guided walk will give all participants the chance to be enjoy this recently opened challenging track. Apart from your own travelling time to Halls Gap, there are no major distances to travel each day so the focus of this trip is very much based around bush walking and enjoying the spectacular surrounds.
Halls Gap Grampians National Park
Day 1 – Friday PM 4 kms
Halls Gap is centrally located in the Grampians National Park approximately 3 hours west of Melbourne. After arriving and settling into your accommodation venue, (a comfortable, spacious cabin overlooking the National Park) you will have time to have some lunch [own cost] before we embark on our first activity at 2:00 pm. This will be a half day walk starting at the Mt. William Carpark. We will the walk up to the summit of Mt. William - the highest peak in the Grampians. With panaromic 360 degree views we will be able to look right along the entire length of the Grampians as it stretches north and south and get a sense of just how special the National Park is.

We will leave from the Brambuk Visitor Centre, cross Fyans Creek to the base of the Mt William Range for a steady climb up onto the ridge overlooking Halls Gap. We will finish on top of Boronia Peak with panoramic views over the Wonderland Range and surrounding peaks.

Day 2 – Saturday
A challenging morning walk to the peak of Mount Rosea. The climb is challenging but the path is well formed and shaded before topping out at the summit of Mount Rosea.

Day 3 – Sunday
Morning walk from the heart of Halls Gap alongside Stony Creek rising towards Wonderland. Morning Tea will be at the Wonderland Rest area. After morning tea we will continue to Sundial Peak Rest area for lunch. Millions of years of mother nature’s sculpting has created the unique shaping of the rocks that gives rise to features like the Elephant Hide and the Grand Canyon. All of which will be in full view along the walk. After walking past the cool chamber and bridal falls we will emerge onto the rocky spine of the Pinnacle, one of Grampians most visual spectacles.
After lunch we will be picked up and arrive back in Halls Gap after a short walk to Silverband Waterfall at approx. 2:30 – 3:00 p.m.

Regular bus and train travel is available to the region. We can arrange travel for you or alternatively let us know when you are arriving and we can arrange pick up from the nearby township of Stawell.
Halls Gap is centrally located in the Grampians National Park approximately 3 hours west of Melbourne. Take the Western Freeway from Melbourne to Ballarat. Continue on to Ararat and follow the signs to Halls Gap.
