Day 1 – Friday PM
Halls Gap is centrally located in the Grampians National Park approximately 3 hours west of Melbourne. After arriving and settling in your accommodation venue, (a comfortable, spacious cabin overlooking the National Park) you will have time to have some lunch [own cost] before we embark on our first activity at 1:30 pm. Abseiling in the Grand Canyon is a great way to start the weekend. With superb views, a choice of 2 abseils and plenty of time to perfect your abseil technique. This is an activity not to be missed. The site is very close to Halls Gap which will allow us to get back to our accommodation with plenty of time to relax and breathe in the serenity before dinner.
Day 2 - Saturday
After breakfast today we will fill up the water bottles and head out on the mountain bikes to the Eastern Grampians for a ride through the Red Gum Forests. On the return leg to Halls Gap we will stop and have a go at Rockclimbing at the famous Watcthtower Cliff face. With a range of climbs there is sure to be something to suit everyone!
After lunch we ride out to canoe on Lake Bellfield. Canoeing at Lake Bellfield is a very relaxing way to end the day. With panoramic 360 degree views of the National Park, we will take a leisurely paddle along the Lakes shoreline. This is an easy paddle, which gives us plenty of time to ride back to Halls Gap with plenty of time to relax and breathe in the serenity before dinner.
Day 3 - Sunday
Grampians Peak Bushwalk - Morning walk from the heart of Halls Gap alongside Stony Creek rising towards Wonderland. Morning Tea will be provided at the Wonderland Rest area. The imagery and the unique shaping of the rocks gives rise to features like the Elephant Hide and the Grand Canyon. Emerge out onto the rocky spine of the Pinnacle, one of today’s visual spectacles.
After lunch at the Sundial Peak Rest area we will be picked up and arrive back in Halls Gap via a short walk to Silverband Waterfall at approx. 2:00 p.m.

- A moderate degree of fitness [Some walking on bush tracks, riding, climbing and scrambling over rocks is involved] This is a physical weekend!
- Small day pack with bladder, water bottles
- Hiking clothes & sturdy walking shoes
- Old clothes & towel for Canoeing
- Cash for incidentals – coffee. Halls Gap does have an ANZ ATM.
- A jumper (it can be cool in the evenings all year round)

- Personal items – sun glasses, camera, hat, earplugs if light sleeper... etc.
Halls Gap, Grampians National Park
Public Transport - Regular bus and train travel is available to the region. We can arrange travel for you or alternatively let us know when you are arriving and we can arrange pick up from the nearby township of Stawell.
Driving - Halls Gap is centrally located in the Grampians National Park approximately 3 hours west of Melbourne. Take the Western Freeway from Melbourne to Ballarat. Continue on to Ararat and follow the signs to Halls Gap.
